The Historical Tashan Bazaar is a living legend of the city of Afyonkarahisar. An ancient stone han (inn) built in the 17th century, it has been transformed today into the vibrant Alem-i Çarşı craft center. This is a place where the rugged aesthetics of ancient walls meet the elegance of handmade work, creating the unique atmosphere of traditional Oriental trade.

The building is striking in its Ottoman architecture: the two-story structure with a rectangular inner courtyard and massive stone and brick arches transports visitors back centuries. It was once the center of the shoemakers' guild, and today Turkey carefully preserves this heritage, turning the former caravanserai into a cozy space for creativity and shopping.
Following a thorough restoration in 2018, Tashan became home to dozens of master craftsmen. Here, goods are not just sold, but "forgotten" crafts are being revived. This is not an ordinary shopping center, but a true living museum, where every corner is steeped in history and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee.
