The winter period, falling in January and February, is characterized by brisk frosts. Nighttime temperatures often drop to -4 °C, and can occasionally dip even lower. During the day, the air warms up to only +2–7 °C, creating a classic winter atmosphere.

Be sure to bring sunscreen with a high SPF, a wide-brimmed hat, and quality sunglasses, as the sun on the plateau can be very intense. Even in July, a light sweater or windbreaker may be useful for evening strolls.

If your trip is planned for the winter months, prepare for real cold: a warm jacket, thermal underwear, a scarf, a hat, and gloves are essential. Since winter in this region of Turkey can be snowy, make sure to bring waterproof shoes with non-slip soles. In the transitional seasons—spring and autumn—the best outfit would be jeans, sweatshirts, and comfortable sneakers.
