Travelling by car is one of the most convenient ways to reach the city, which is located near the major Interstate I-80. The journey from the city of State College will take about 1 hour 20 minutes (105 km), passing through the state's picturesque roads.

Another popular route leads from the city of Altoona: the distance of 92 km can be comfortably covered in 1.5 hours. For those driving from the direction of the settlement of Mayport, the road will be even shorter — just about 40–50 minutes of driving.
