History & Facts

The grand opening of Warrior Zone took place on February 7, 2010. This establishment was the first of its kind in the Army's structure, created specifically as a high-tech recreation center. The project was initially launched as a pilot program aimed at providing service members with quality leisure right at their place of duty.

The first version of the center occupied about 4,000 square feet and offered access to modern computers (for that time), gaming consoles, and a home theater. The project's immense success among personnel led to the Fort Riley experience becoming a benchmark for other bases across the country, initiating the construction of similar centers in other states.

The center gained particular importance for young soldiers who did not have their own transportation. The ability to walk to a recreation spot and spend time with comrades made Warrior Zone a key social hub for the base. Over time, the infrastructure expanded to include new gaming zones and professional kitchen equipment.

Time Needed

For a quick look and a brief introduction to the center's features, 1 hour is sufficient. This time is enough to appreciate the interior, check out the gaming cafe, or use an internet terminal.

If you plan to fully relax, play video games, or watch a movie, it is recommended to set aside 2 to 3 hours. For those wanting to participate in organized tournaments for poker, billiards, or esports, a visit may last 4 hours or more.

Working Hours

The Warrior Zone center operates on a convenient schedule, allowing guests to relax on both weekdays and weekends. From Monday to Thursday, the doors are open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
