The Chapel of the Holy Cross is one of the most impressive and unusual attractions not only in Sedona but in the entire USA. It is not just an active Catholic chapel, but a true architectural wonder, harmoniously integrated into Arizona's majestic red rocks. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that the building literally rises from the rock, soaring 70 meters above the picturesque valley.
The main element of its modernist architecture is a massive cross nearly 28 meters tall, which forms the facade and serves as the supporting structure for the stained-glass wall. This cross is visible from afar and has become a recognizable symbol of faith and human genius. The idea for such a sanctuary belonged to sculptor Marguerite Brunswig Staude, who, after a long search, found this perfect location to realize her dream. Construction was completed in 1956, and in 1957, the project received a prestigious award from the American Institute of Architects.

The interior of the church is minimalist, allowing visitors to fully focus on contemplation and the natural beauty visible through the large windows. It is a place where architecture, faith, and nature merge into one, leaving an unforgettable impression.
