You should visit The Celtic Cup Coffee House for a taste of authentic Celtic lands. Here, you can try genuine dishes such as Scotch eggs, Irish rarebits, hearty soups, and fresh scones, recipes for which the owners collected during their travels to Britain. Those with a sweet tooth will appreciate the craft gelato and delicate pastries baked daily.

If you're looking for an unusual gift, browse the souvenir section. It features unique items ranging from elegant jewelry to cozy wool scarves and hats. This space is perfect for quietly reading a book in a peaceful corner or working productively in an inspiring setting.

The coffee house frequently hosts themed events, with St. Patrick's Day being a particular highlight. Visitors often note that the welcoming atmosphere allows them to completely escape the daily hustle and feel as if they are "across the pond," enjoying excellent coffee in good company.

Getting There

Finding this island of Celtic culture in the historic center of Tullahoma is easy. The establishment is located at 106 N Anderson St, within walking distance of many city landmarks. If you are already strolling through the old town district, the coffee house is an excellent spot for a break.

For those traveling by car, the drive from the I-24 highway takes only about 5–10 minutes, and convenient parking is available near the entrance. The site is also located in close proximity to Arnold Air Force Base, making it a popular lunch spot for base personnel and visitors.

If you are arriving from Nashville International Airport, the trip by rental car or taxi will take about an hour and a half. Since public transport is limited in small US cities, using services like Uber or renting a car is the most comfortable way to reach your destination.

History & Facts

The history of this establishment began on March 17, 2009, symbolically coinciding with St. Patrick's Day. The founders, Chris and Denise Smith, moved to Tullahoma following Chris's military relocation to the local air force base. Noticing a lack of cozy gathering spots in the city, they decided to create a space that would serve as a "third home" for residents, after work and family.

To realize their dream, the couple chose a 1928 building that had been damaged by fire. During a large-scale renovation, they managed to preserve the Craftsman style of the structure while harmoniously adding elements of a classic British Tudor. Before opening, the Smiths underwent rigorous training at the American Barista & Coffee School in Portland to ensure the highest quality in every cup.

Over the years, the coffee house has grown beyond the typical cafe format. What started as a local business has evolved into a true community hub. Chris, who now devotes all his time to the business, personally manages the kitchen, introducing authentic dishes from Celtic cookbooks, while Denise oversees the cultural aspect and the selection of unique goods.

Time Needed

To simply enjoy a cup of aromatic coffee with a dessert, 20–30 minutes will suffice. However, the atmosphere encourages a longer stay, so most visitors spend between 1 and 1.5 hours here.

During this time, you can not only enjoy a full meal of Celtic cuisine but also carefully browse the selection in the gift shop. If your goal is to take a break from the road or work in a quiet environment to the sound of folk music, time will fly by, and your visit might stretch to a couple of hours.

Working Hours

The establishment opens its doors to early visitors on weekdays and Saturdays from 07:00 to 17:00. Please note that Sunday is a day off, so plan your visit for other days of the week to ensure you can get inside and enjoy the atmosphere.

Operating hours may change on holidays, especially during themed festivals. It is recommended to check the official website or contact the staff before your visit to confirm current opening times.
