Have you ever wondered how to turn art history into an exciting adventure for a child? The Phelps Youth Pavilion is a unique interactive museum located in Waterloo, USA. As part of the Waterloo Center for the Arts, this massive three-story space of over 3,600 square meters is entirely dedicated to children's creativity and development.
Inside the pavilion, there are more than 80 interactive stations where young visitors can do more than just look at exhibits—they can actively interact with them. Here, art history literally comes to life: children can travel in a "time machine," exploring ancient cultures through sound and light effects, or try their hand at creating Egyptian cartouches.
Special attention is given to world cultures. The Creativity Across Cultures exhibition offers a glimpse into the homes of people in Mexico, Ghana, or China, where kids can try on national costumes and hear the sounds of rare musical instruments. This is a place where the boundaries between play and learning disappear, inspiring future artists and explorers.
