On-board Services:
Travel Classes and Comfort Levels
Animawings is primarily focused on leisure travel, so the concept of service classes here is adapted to the needs of holidaymakers. Instead of the traditional division into "First", "Business", and "Economy" with rigid partitions, the carrier uses a flexible system of fare plans and service packages, allowing each passenger to customise their comfort level individually.
Economy Class
This is the main service standard on all airline flights. It offers an optimal price-quality ratio, which is especially relevant for short flights, for example, between the cities of Bucharest and Iasi. Passengers receive an ergonomic seat and attentive service from the cabin crew. Depending on the chosen fare (Light, Standard, Plus), baggage and seat selection may already be included in the price.
"Business" Level Service
On scheduled and some charter flights, Animawings offers an enhanced travel experience comparable to "European Business Class". Passengers who choose this level of service are seated in the front rows of the cabin, guaranteeing a quick exit from the aircraft upon arrival. Additionally, this fare often includes priority boarding, an increased baggage allowance, and complimentary in-flight meals. This is an ideal choice for longer flights, for example, to the Egyptian resort of Hurghada.
Seat Configuration and Fleet
In-flight comfort depends directly on the type of aircraft. The Animawings fleet consists of modern Airbus liners, each with its own features:
- Airbus A320: Classic 3+3 cabin layout. Seats are made of modern leather, feature standard pitch and fold-down tables. These are reliable aircraft used on most routes.
- Airbus A220: The pride of the airline. These state-of-the-art aircraft feature enhanced comfort thanks to a 2+3 configuration (fewer middle seats), wider aisles, huge windows, and spacious overhead bins for hand luggage. The Mood Lighting system helps reduce eye fatigue, which is especially pleasant on flights to northern regions, such as Finnish Kittila.
Dining and Beverages
The gastronomic aspect of flying with Animawings deserves special attention. The airline offers a concept combining pre-ordered hot meals and the sale of snacks on board.
Buy on Board Menu:
During the flight, passengers have access to a wide assortment of snacks, sandwiches, sweets, as well as refreshing and hot drinks, which can be purchased for an additional fee. The menu also frequently features goods from the Duty Free category.
Pre-order Hot Meals:
For those who prefer a full meal, a service for pre-ordering hot dishes is available. This must be done no later than 24–48 hours before departure via the airline's website or tour operator. The menu varies from classic breakfasts to hearty meat and vegetarian dishes.
Entertainment and Connectivity
Animawings adheres to a modern "Bring Your Own Device" policy. There are no built-in multimedia screens in the seats, so passengers are advised to download movies, music, or books to their smartphones and tablets in advance.
However, there is no need to be bored: in the pocket of every seat, there is a branded in-flight magazine telling about the best destinations in the network, new fragrances, and travel tips. On the new Airbus A220 aircraft, USB ports may be available for charging gadgets directly at the seat (it is recommended to verify availability when booking).
Special Services
The airline strives to ensure travel accessibility for all categories of passengers and offers a range of special services:
- Unaccompanied Minors: An escort service is available for children aged 5 to 12 travelling without parents. Cabin crew look after the young passenger from check-in until handover to the meeting party at the arrival airport.
- Passengers with Reduced Mobility: Animawings provides necessary assistance with boarding and disembarking, as well as space for wheelchairs. Requests for such services must be submitted at least 48 hours before departure.
- Expectant Mothers: Air travel is possible up to the 36th week of pregnancy (or up to the 32nd for multiple pregnancies) with a medical certificate issued no earlier than 7 days before the flight.
