The majestic Emir Abdelkader Mosque is not just a religious building, but a true masterpiece of modern Islamic architecture, towering over the ancient city of Constantine. Located in the northeastern part of Algeria, it is considered one of the largest mosques on the African continent and an important center for spiritual enlightenment.

The complex occupies an impressive 13 hectares and is striking in its scale: the prayer hall can accommodate up to 15,000 worshippers at once, and together with the outdoor esplanade, the capacity increases several times over. The mosque is easily recognizable from afar thanks to its two slender minarets, each 120 meters high, and its massive dome, which is one of the highest points in the city skyline.
The architectural appearance of the building skillfully intertwines Andalusian motifs and traditional Algerian elements. A special place in the ensemble is held by the University of Islamic Sciences, which is part of the complex. This turns the mosque into a living monument of culture and education, dedicated to the legacy of the great Emir Abdelkader—a national hero and prominent thinker.
