Melbourne Central is not just a large shopping mall, but one of the most iconic landmarks in the heart of Melbourne, Australia. This multi-functional complex is a prime example of modern architecture and a popular destination for shopping and leisure among both tourists and locals.

Under the roof of the complex, which spans two city blocks, there are more than 150 stores of various kinds. The center is known not only for its variety of retail outlets but also for its unique architectural solutions—notably the massive glass cone that covers the historic Coop's Shot Tower. Built in 1889, this tower is a heritage-listed site and adds a unique character to the space.
In addition to the retail space, Melbourne Central is an impressive skyscraper. The height of its office tower to the roof is 211 meters, and its total height including the spire reaches 246 meters, making it one of the tallest buildings in Australia. The project was designed by the renowned architectural firm Bates Smart (listed in the original design; Kisho Kurokawa and others participated in later stages) and is today an integral part of the city skyline.
