General Weather Overview

The climate in Treasure Cay can be described as mild tropical, making the resort attractive to travellers all year round. An eternal summer reigns here: even in the "coldest" winter months, the air temperature rarely drops below comfortable levels, and the heat is tempered by pleasant sea breezes.

The temperature regime is notably stable. In winter and early spring, the thermometer hovers on average around +22…+23°C, creating ideal conditions for excursions and relaxation. Summer brings more warmth: from June to September, the air warms up to +27…+28°C. This time of year is excellent for beach lovers and water sports enthusiasts.

It is worth considering the seasonality of rainfall characteristic of the region where the Bahamas are located. While the number of rainy days is minimal in winter, humidity rises with the arrival of summer. The peak of "wet" days falls between June and September (up to 19 days per month); however, tropical showers are usually short-lived and quickly replaced by bright sunshine, allowing you to enjoy your holiday uninterrupted.

Temperature

Climatic conditions in Treasure Cay are distinguished by enviable consistency and comfortable warmth throughout the year. The annual temperature range here is quite smooth: the "coolest" months are January and February with average figures of around +21.8°C — +22.6°C. Conversely, the peak heat occurs during the summer season, especially in July and August, when the average air temperature rises to +28.1°C — +28.3°C.

Summer at the resort can be described as moderately warm: maximum values in August reach +29.4°C, which is ideal for a beach holiday without creating a sensation of extreme heat. The winter period here is incredibly mild and pleasant. Even in January, the average minimum does not drop below +20.7°C, so travellers will not face cold weather — conditions remain favourable for walks and outdoor activities.

It is worth noting the remarkable stability of the temperature regime: daily fluctuations are extremely slight. The difference between average minimum and maximum indicators during the month, according to statistics, is usually only 1–2 degrees. This means that on the Bahamas in this location, there is practically no sharp contrast between day and night temperatures, ensuring a steady and comfortable atmosphere 24 hours a day.

Precipitation

When planning a journey to picturesque Treasure Cay, it is worth considering seasonal rainfall patterns. Since the resort is located in a tropical zone, rain here is a quite common phenomenon, although its intensity and frequency vary depending on the time of year. In general, the climate allows for distinguishing a wetter season and a period of relative dryness, which helps tourists choose the ideal time for their trip.

The highest probability of encountering rain persists during the summer months and early autumn. From June to October, the number of days with precipitation reaches a maximum — about 18–19 days per month. The "wettest" month, according to statistics, is September (about 7 mm of precipitation). Nevertheless, tropical showers are often brief and refreshing, quickly giving way to bright sun, so they rarely become a hindrance to beach relaxation.

Those who prefer more stable and dry weather should focus on the winter period and early spring. February and March are considered the driest months of the year: the number of rainy days drops to 7–8, and the volume of precipitation is minimal (only 1–2 mm). This time is perfect for those who wish to enjoy the nature of the Bahamas without worrying about the need to carry an umbrella.

What to Pack

When preparing for a trip to Treasure Cay, first ensure you have reliable sun protection. Since the climate here is warm year-round, the foundation of your wardrobe should be light items made from natural breathable fabrics, such as cotton and linen. Be sure to bring swimwear, a wide-brimmed hat, and sunscreen with a high SPF factor, as the sun in the Bahamas is very active even in cloudy weather.

If your trip falls during the winter months (from December to March), bear in mind that evenings can be quite fresh, with an average temperature of around +21°C. For comfortable walks after sunset and sea excursions, where it is often breezy, we recommend packing a light windbreaker, cardigan, or hoodie. The principle of layering your clothing will allow you to feel comfortable both on the warm beach during the day and during the cool breeze in the evening.

In summer and early autumn, humidity rises and the number of rainy days increases, so it would be wise to bring a compact folding umbrella or a light raincoat. Regarding footwear, it is best to bring comfortable sandals for the beach and a pair of light trainers for walking around the area. Aqua shoes may also be useful if you plan to explore the underwater world near the coast.
