Located in the humid tropics, Inirida is distinguished by a stable and hot climate throughout the year. There is practically no usual division into four seasons here: the air temperature remains at a surprisingly constant level, with average indicators around +26…+28°C. The main factor determining the weather in this region of Colombia is precipitation. Rain is a frequent occurrence here, especially during the period from May to July, when humidity reaches its peak and the number of rainy days approaches thirty per month. The beginning of the year, January and February, is considered a relatively dry season; however, even at this time, an umbrella or raincoat may come in handy, as short-term rainfall occurs regularly.

In general, the city's climate can be characterized as typically equatorial: humid, warm, and conducive to the lush growth of vegetation. The absence of sharp temperature changes makes the trip predictable in terms of choosing a wardrobe — light, breathable clothing will be suitable in any month.

There are no sharp seasonal changes here: the average annual temperature remains stable in the range of +25°C to +28°C. The hottest period can be considered the beginning of the year, especially February, when average indicators reach their peak, and the daily maximum often exceeds +31.7°C. This time is ideal for those who are not afraid of tropical heat.

The concept of "winter" in the traditional sense is inapplicable here. Even in the "coolest" months, such as June and July, the air warms up on average to +25.6°C, and daily maximums rarely drop below +28°C. However, it is worth considering daily fluctuations: after a hot day, when the temperature hovers around +30°C, pleasant night freshness sets in. At night, the thermometer drops to a comfortable +22...+24°C, which brings long-awaited relief and allows you to rest comfortably without exhausting stuffiness.

The climate in this region is characterized by high humidity, and precipitation here is a constant phenomenon. Inirida does not have a pronounced dry season in the usual sense: rains fall throughout the year, nourishing the lush tropical vegetation. There is no snow here; precipitation always falls exclusively in the form of rain, often as warm and intense downpours.

A relative decrease in precipitation is observed at the beginning of the year. January and February are considered the "driest" months, although even at this time, rainy weather is recorded for approximately 15–16 days a month. This is the most favourable period for a visit if you want to minimize the chance of getting wet, however, an umbrella or raincoat will still be mandatory attributes in your luggage.

The real peak of the rainy season falls during the period from May to July. In these months, humidity reaches a maximum, and the number of rainy days reaches 29–30 per month, meaning precipitation falls almost daily. In May, the largest volume of precipitation is also recorded (about 14 mm in average value). For the rest of the year, from August to December, rains continue to fall frequently (from 22 to 26 days a month), but their intensity decreases slightly compared to the summer peak.

Since Inirida is located in a hot tropical climate zone, the temperature here remains high all year round, rarely dropping below 23°C even at night. The basis of your wardrobe should be light, loose clothing made of natural fabrics, such as cotton or linen, or modern synthetic materials that wick away moisture. Be sure to take a wide-brimmed hat or cap, sunglasses, and sunscreen with a high protection factor, as the sun in this region is very active.

Precipitation here is a frequent occurrence in any season, and in the period from May to July, it rains almost daily. Therefore, a high-quality raincoat or waterproof poncho are the most important items in your luggage. An umbrella may be inconvenient during excursions in nature, so it is better to prefer waterproof clothing. It is also worth taking long-sleeved shirts and light trousers: they will not only protect against possible evening coolness after the rain but also save you from insects, of which there are quite a few in the jungle.

For moving around the area, choose comfortable footwear with good grip that dries quickly, for example, trekking sandals or light sneakers. Heavy boots can be too hot for such a climate. Do not forget to pack documents and electronics in airtight bags or waterproof cases to protect them from high humidity and sudden downpours during your trip around the country of Colombia.
