In the period from June to December, it becomes slightly fresher, but the temperature difference is so insignificant that it is barely perceptible to holidaymakers.

One of the main features of the local climate is the extremely low amount of rainfall. Even in the so-called "wet season" (beginning of the year), when the number of cloudy days increases, the actual volume of rain remains minimal. During the rest of the year, dry weather prevails, making this resort an ideal destination for a beach holiday regardless of the date on the calendar.

The resort city of Manta delights travelers with an amazingly stable and comfortable climate throughout the year. Due to its proximity to the equator, there are no sharp seasonal changes, extreme heat, or cold here. The warmest period falls at the beginning of the year: from January to April, the average air temperature hovers around the +26°C mark. Even at the height of the day, thermometer readings rarely exceed a comfortable +27.5°C, making time spent on the beach pleasant.

The nominal "cool" season lasts from June to November, although the word "cold" is hardly appropriate here. In August and September, which are considered the months with the lowest readings, the average temperature is about +24°C. This time is characterized by mild weather, ideal for excursions and long walks, when exhausting heat is completely absent, and the air remains warm and fresh.

A characteristic feature of the climate in this region of Ecuador is the minimal temperature amplitude. The difference between daytime highs and nighttime lows is quite small — usually only 3–4 degrees. Even on the coolest nights, the temperature rarely drops below +21.5°C, so tourists will hardly need warm clothing; light items will be quite sufficient for a comfortable rest at any time of the day.

Precipitation in the city of Manta is a rather specific phenomenon, as the local climate is characterized by aridity. During the year, one can distinguish a period of increased humidity and a pronounced dry season. Even in the "rainy" months, the total volume of precipitation remains extremely low, so prolonged downpours are a great rarity here.

The highest frequency of precipitation is observed in the first half of the year. The "wettest" month in terms of days with precipitation is February, when statistics record about 20 days with possible moisture, followed by March and January. However, despite the frequency, rains are usually very weak or short-lived, often appearing as a light drizzle that does not interfere with relaxation.

The dry season arrives in June and lasts almost until December. August, September, and November are considered the driest months, when only one day with precipitation is recorded for the entire month, and levels tend to zero. This time is ideal for travelers who want to be guaranteed to avoid rain during their trip to Ecuador.

When preparing for a trip to Manta, opt for light and breathable clothing made from natural fabrics such as cotton or linen. Since the average air temperature here remains stable in the comfortable range of +24...+27°C throughout the year, the basis of your wardrobe should be t-shirts, shorts, light summer dresses, and open footwear. Be sure to bring swimwear, as beach leisure is an integral part of a visit to this coastal city.

Despite the steady climate, it is worth considering seasonal nuances when packing your suitcase. In the period from January to April, humidity rises, and frequent but light precipitation is possible, so a compact umbrella or a light raincoat will be useful. In the dry season (from June to November), there is practically no rain, but evenings can be cool due to the sea breeze, when the temperature drops to +21°C. For such cases, we recommend bringing a windbreaker, a denim jacket, or a cozy sweatshirt.

Pay special attention to sun protection: Ecuador is located on the equator, and ultraviolet radiation here is very strong even in cloudy weather. Sunscreen with a high SPF factor, a wide-brimmed hat or cap, as well as high-quality sunglasses are mandatory items on your packing list. For long walks along the promenade and excursions, choose comfortable, broken-in sneakers or sandals with good foot support.
