The most important advice for travellers: carefully check the station name on your ticket. There are two stations in the city: Nîmes Centre (in the centre) and Nîmes Pont-du-Gard (outside the city). A mistake could cost you missing your train, as the distance between them is considerable. Arrive at the station at least 30 minutes before departure to calmly proceed to the platform, especially if a transfer from TER to TGV is required.

The Vigipirate security system is in effect at the station, so do not leave luggage unattended — it may be destroyed by the bomb disposal unit. If you have a night transfer or a very early departure, keep in mind that the station building closes at night (usually from 23:00 to 05:45), and it will not be possible to wait inside during this time.
