Olderdissen Zoo (Heimat-Tierpark Olderdissen) is a unique corner of wildlife located in the city of Bielefeld, on the picturesque outskirts of the Teutoburg Forest in Germany. Its main feature is that it primarily houses animals native to Central Europe. On an extensive 16-hectare site, more than 450 animals of approximately 80 different species live in spacious enclosures with conditions as close to natural as possible.

One of the key reasons for the zoo's popularity is the free admission for all visitors, making it a favorite spot for family holidays, school trips, and outdoor walks. The park is open year-round, allowing you to observe the lives of its inhabitants across different seasons. Here you can encounter wolves, bears, lynx, and bison, as well as many species of birds, including owls and storks.
Olderdissen Zoo focuses not only on displaying animals but also on environmental education and species conservation. For young visitors, there is a petting zoo and playgrounds. The well-maintained paths are perfect for leisurely strolls, during which you can enjoy connecting with nature and watching animals in a comfortable environment for them. Visitors can also purchase special food to feed some of the animals.
