In the heart of Banyuwangi, located in East Java, Indonesia, sits a unique historical building — the Sabha Swagata Blambangan Pavilion. Since 1771, this site has served as the official residence of the district regents and remains a true regional icon, embodying the spirit of the ancient Kingdom of Blambangan.

The architecture of the pavilion (or pendopo) showcases a classic Javanese style with an open structure, harmoniously complemented today by modern eco-friendly solutions. One of the complex's most intriguing features is the "greenhouses" — side buildings that look like green hills or gardens from the outside, but hide functional offices and reception halls inside, illuminated by soft natural light through a system of louvers.
This site is unique because, despite being an administrative center, it remains an open public space. Here, traditions of the past, such as the legendary spring with "rejuvenating" water, coexist with galleries of historical paintings and modern landscape design, making the pavilion a must-visit for any traveler.
