The six-story mall impresses with its interior inspired by the architecture of Moroccan palaces with their exquisite mosaic patterns. It houses more than 200 stores, including famous brands such as Sogo, Zara, and Sephora, as well as the unique Japanese supermarket Don Don Donki. For business events, the complex features a spacious congress hall.

Since its opening in 2012, Kota Kasablanka has been positioned as a cozy "oasis" among the skyscrapers. Its high rating and millions of visitors annually confirm the complex's status as one of the best places for quality shopping, gastronomic discoveries, and family leisure in South Jakarta.

What to Do

A visit to Kota Kasablanka is, above all, about first-class shopping. A huge selection of international and local brands allows you to find everything from trendy clothes at Zara and Stradivarius to exclusive cosmetics at Sephora. Those looking for interesting finds will appreciate the variety of accessories, perfumes, and modern electronics in specialized departments.

A gastronomic journey is another important part of a holiday at the complex. There are two famous food courts here: Food Society and Little Tokyo. In them, you can try both authentic Indonesian delicacies and popular Korean or Japanese dishes. Entertainment includes a modern XXI cinema chain, a premium fitness center, and regular themed events in the central atriums.

A special atmosphere is created in KoKas by festive decorations that change according to the season. The mall's massive size and friendly navigation allow you to spend a whole day here, simply strolling through the beautiful aisles or meeting friends in one of the many cafes. It is an ideal place for those looking for comfort and variety in one space.

Getting There

The Kota Kasablanka complex is conveniently located in South Jakarta at Jl. Raya Casablanca No.Kav 88. You can get here in various ways: a walk from the nearest MRT Tebet station to the mall takes about 10 minutes along well-maintained sidewalks. TransJakarta buses and LRT trains also stop nearby.

From the city center, a trip by taxi or private car will take about 20–30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Popular ride-hailing services like Grab or Gojek are the easiest and most reliable options, as the complex is a major landmark for all drivers in the area.

For those who prefer their own transport, extensive multi-level parking is available. It is recommended to plan your trip in advance, trying to avoid morning and evening peak traffic hours, which often occur around the Casablanca tunnel.

History & Facts

The history of Kota Kasablanka began back in 1996 when the Anggana Group planned to build a massive project on the edge of the promising Satrio Shopping Belt. However, due to economic transformations, the active construction phase began much later, and the project passed under the management of Pakuwon Jati.

The official opening of the shopping center took place on August 31, 2012. The complex became the company's sixth major project and quickly turned into a symbol of Jakarta's rapid urbanization. The architectural design with Moroccan motifs set it apart from other malls in the city, giving the interior space an exotic charm and the atmosphere of an Oriental palace.

The development of the area did not stop with the opening of the mall. In 2013, the EightyEight@Kasablanka office towers and the Casa Grande Residence residential complex were completed. This transformed Kota Kasablanka into a full-fledged lifestyle hub, combining work, leisure, and comfortable living in a single modern architectural ensemble.

Time Needed

To truly feel the atmosphere of Kota Kasablanka and explore the main shopping galleries, visitors usually need 3 to 5 hours. This time is quite enough for leisurely shopping and lunch at one of the themed food courts.

If you also plan to catch a movie at the XXI cinema or spend time in the gaming zones, it is better to set aside at least half a day for the visit. For those who are short on time and came for a specific purchase, 2 hours will suffice, thanks to the clear navigation and convenient location of the largest stores.

Working Hours

The Kota Kasablanka shopping and entertainment complex is open to visitors daily. Standard working hours are from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, including weekends and holidays, allowing guests of Jakarta to plan their visit at any convenient time.

It is worth considering that individual establishments, such as the Celebrity Fitness center or cinema halls, may have their own schedules, sometimes opening earlier or closing a bit later than the main mall. The current schedule of movie screenings and special events can always be checked on the complex's official website.
