The majestic An-Nur Jamek Mosque, also known as the Labuan State Mosque, is not just a place of worship, but a true architectural symbol that Malaysia is proud of. Located in the city of Labuan, this modern Sunni mosque serves as the primary spiritual center for the local community and impresses travelers with its unique appearance.

The architecture of the building is a bold experiment, harmoniously blending traditional elements of Bruneian Malay style with classical Turkish motifs. The most recognizable feature is the futuristic dome, which reminds many of a giant badminton shuttlecock or even an object from a sci-fi movie ready for takeoff.
The ensemble is completed by two slender minarets rising on either side of the main building. At night, they glow with bright lights, acting as beacons for ships navigating the waters of the South China Sea. The An-Nur Jamek Mosque is a place where modern technology and deep religious traditions have merged into one beautiful whole.
