The National Museum – Butuan, also known as the Eastern Northern Mindanao Regional Museum, invites you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of an ancient maritime power. This unique historical repository, located in the city of Butuan, reveals the rich heritage of the Caraga region and the entire Philippines to tourists.

The museum's main treasures are fragments of balangay—ancient boats that are up to a thousand years old. These vessels, recognized as national cultural treasures, serve as undeniable proof that long before the colonial era, local residents were skilled navigators and conducted active trade with neighboring Asian countries.
The exhibition is divided into two thematic zones. The Archaeological Gallery impresses with a collection of gold jewelry, ancient ceramics, and even burial coffins. In turn, the Ethnological Gallery is dedicated to the lifestyle of the indigenous peoples of Mindanao, demonstrating their traditional tools, clothing, and everyday items, making a visit to the museum an important step in understanding Filipino identity.
