Alternatively, you can consider flying to neighbouring settlements, although this will require a further transfer. The nearest airports are located in the city of Bodaibo (about 170 km away) and the settlement of Chara. It is also possible to arrive via Nizhneangarsk, located on the northern shore of Lake Baikal.

Rail transport is one of the most reliable and popular ways to get to Taksimo. The settlement is an important station on the legendary Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM), so long-distance trains arrive here regularly. Travelling by rail allows you not only to cover great distances in comfort but also to enjoy views of the wild Siberian nature from the carriage window.

You can reach here via direct routes from many Russian cities or with a transfer at major junction stations.
