Spanning approximately 2.4 hectares (5.9 acres), Levy Park is not just a green zone but a meticulously designed environment built on the principles of environmental and social sustainability. This modern public space offers numerous amenities for visitors of all ages, from playgrounds and dog parks to event venues and quiet spots for enjoying nature.
Special attention during the park's creation was paid to Houston's specific climate, characterized by heat, high humidity, and frequent heavy rains. To mitigate these factors, the park features extensive permeable surfaces (over 3 acres), a rain garden of about 700 square meters, and a community garden. These elements facilitate the collection and reuse of rainwater. Additionally, 138 new native trees not only provide much-needed shade but also play a vital role in stormwater management by intercepting significant volumes of water.
