What to Do

There is no time to be bored at Orangeland RV Park, for both adults and children. The main center of attraction here is the large heated pool and jacuzzi, a perfect place to relax after a busy day. For fans of active leisure, the grounds feature mini-golf and shuffleboard courts, as well as a modern fitness room to stay in shape.

One of the most popular "perks" of the park remains citrus picking. During the season, you can stroll through the grove and pick a basket of fresh fruit right from the branches. In the evening, guests often gather in the clubhouse, where they can play a game of billiards or join in group games like bingo and poker, which are regularly organized by the management.

For pet owners, there is a dedicated dog park with a dog wash station, so your four-legged friends will be happy too. And if you feel like a change of scenery, take advantage of the convenient shuttle to Disneyland or head out for a trip to the beaches, which are just a short drive from the park.

Getting There

Getting to the park, located at 1600 W Struck Ave, in your own or a rented RV is quite simple. The main routes to the park run via the I-5 or SR-57 freeways. The complex's internal roads are designed for large vehicles, and friendly staff often meet guests at the entrance to help with parking.

For those who prefer public transportation, there is an Anaheim Regional Transit (ART) stop right on the property. Buses run to Anaheim's major entertainment venues, including Disneyland. Transit passes can be purchased directly at the park's front desk.

If you need to get to the city center or nearby train stations, it is most convenient to order a taxi or use Uber and Lyft. A trip to Orange's key shopping and dining spots will take no more than 10–15 minutes.

History & Facts

The history of this popular spot began in 1972 when E.H. Welton decided to establish a family park on the site of an active orange grove. From the very beginning, the creators focused on building a cozy, almost home-like atmosphere rather than just commercial land use. Interestingly, Orangeland RV Park is still managed by the founder's descendants—the Welton-Wimbish family.

Initially, 212 sites were planned for the park, but over time the owners made the bold decision to reduce the number to 195. This allowed each site to be more spacious, which is critical for today's large RVs. In the early 2000s, Orangeland became a technological pioneer among California campgrounds, being one of the first to introduce free Wi-Fi for its guests.

In its more than fifty-year history, the park has twice received the prestigious "Park of the Year" award from the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC). Today, it remains the only dedicated RV park within the city limits, carefully preserving its heritage and offering guests shade from the very same orange trees where it all began.

Time Needed

To simply walk around the grounds, see the facilities, and enjoy the view of the citrus trees, a typical visitor will need about 1–2 hours. This is quite enough time to appreciate the quality of service and the cozy layout of the park.

However, since Orangeland RV Park is designed for a full vacation, most guests prefer to stay here for a few days to a week. This timeframe allows you not only to relax by the pool but also to comfortably visit nearby Southern California theme parks and beaches, returning every evening to a quiet and peaceful environment.

Working Hours

The management of Orangeland RV Park maintains convenient office hours to ensure arriving travelers can easily register and receive any necessary assistance. The office is open daily, seven days a week.

Guest reception hours are Monday through Sunday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Please note that check-in usually takes place during these hours; however, for guests already staying at the park, access to the grounds remains available 24/7.
