The fastest and most comfortable way to be at the centre of the action is to fly directly to the international Kasane Airport (BBK). It is located just a few kilometres from the town and is well-connected to the tourism infrastructure, receiving regular flights from major regional hubs.

If direct tickets are unavailable, travellers often choose to fly to neighbouring countries followed by a short transfer. Convenient alternatives include the airports in the cities of Livingstone (Zambia) and Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe), located approximately 70 kilometres from the border. You can also consider flying to Katima Mulilo in Namibia, from where it is about 100 kilometres to your destination.

There is no direct railway connection to the town of Kasane, so getting here exclusively by train is not possible. The railway network in this region is not extensively developed and does not have a station within the town itself.

The nearest points reachable by rail (usually on luxury tourist trains) are in neighbouring states — these are the cities of Livingstone and Victoria Falls. Travellers choosing this mode of transport cover the remaining 70–80 kilometres to Botswana by taxi or private transfer.

Bus services connect Kasane with other settlements in the region, though this is an option for patient travellers, as exact schedules often change. Shared taxis and buses operate between border zones, offering a budget-friendly way to travel.

Typically, tourists use buses to reach the border from neighbouring cities such as Victoria Falls or Livingstone, and then cross the border on foot or by taxi. Travel time depends significantly on the speed of border control procedures.

Travelling by car is one of the most scenic ways to get to Kasane, allowing you to see wildlife while still on the road. The route from the city of Livingstone, covering a distance of about 76 km, will take approximately 1.1 hours, not counting the time for crossing the border via ferry or bridge.

The route from the city of Victoria Falls is also popular: the distance is about 82 km, and the travel time is just over an hour. If you are driving from the Namibian side, the road from Katima Mulilo is nearly 128 km long and will require about an hour and a half of driving.
