The Fort of the Three Magi (Forte dos Reis Magos) is not just a fortress, but a true historical symbol of Natal and one of the key attractions of the state of Rio Grande do Norte in Brazil. It is the city's oldest and most important structure, marking the beginning of its history. Its unique five-pointed star architecture makes the fort one of the most beautiful and memorable buildings on the entire coast.

The fortress got its unusual name from its founding date — January 6, 1598. This day coincides with the Christian feast of Epiphany, also known as Three Kings' Day or the Day of the Three Magi. Symbolically, statues of the biblical wise men greet visitors at the entrance to the fort, giving the place a special atmosphere.
Located in a strategically vital spot where the Potengi River meets the Atlantic Ocean, the fort seems to rise directly out of the water. Today, a convenient pedestrian path from the Praia do Forte district leads to it, allowing travelers easy access to this historical monument. A walk along its walls offers breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean and the city, immersing you in the rich history of the colonial era.
