Farroupilha Park (Parque Farroupilha), better known among locals as Redenção Park (Parque da Redenção), is a true green oasis in the heart of Porto Alegre, one of the cultural centers of southern Brazil. Located in the central Bom Fim district, this park is one of the most beloved places for relaxation, sports, and cultural gatherings for both locals and tourists. Its history is closely intertwined with the city's history, and its opening in 1935 coincided with the centenary of an important historical event—the Farroupilha Revolution.

The park is impressive in its scale: more than 10,000 trees grow across an area of over 37 hectares, creating thick shaded alleys and cozy clearings. Thanks to this abundance of greenery, Farroupilha has become one of the largest park spaces in the city, offering visitors seclusion and coolness away from the urban bustle. Originally designed by French architect Alfred Agache, the park combines elements of European landscape art with wide lawns and picturesque paths.
In addition to its natural beauty, Farroupilha Park offers well-developed leisure infrastructure. Here, you can find sports fields, lakes with paddle boat rentals, children's play areas, and even a small amusement park. On weekends, the park is buzzing with life: it hosts the famous Brique da Redenção craft and antique fair, as well as an organic market, attracting many visitors. Furthermore, the park is home to several historical monuments and cultural sites, making it not just a place for walks but an important part of Porto Alegre's cultural landscape.
