The Luis Roberto Jábali Municipal Park (Parque Municipal Dr. Luis Roberto Jábali), often simply called Curupira, is a massive green oasis in the city of Ribeirão Preto. Spreading over an area of more than 150,000 square meters, it is one of the most popular spots for relaxation and sports, not only among locals but also among visitors to this part of Brazil.

The park's uniqueness lies in its history: it was created on the site of a former quarry, which gives its landscape a special expressiveness. Instead of an industrial zone, there is now a picturesque area with artificial lakes, small waterfalls, and lush vegetation. The transformation of the quarry into a blooming park is a prime example of a successful nature restoration project in an urban environment.
Visitors will find well-maintained walking paths perfect for strolling and jogging, as well as dedicated trails for cyclists. In the park, you can enjoy a picnic on the grass, relax by the water, or simply enjoy the peace and fresh air away from the city noise. It is a wonderful place for family recreation and for discovering local flora and fauna.
