The shopping centre is located at 2945 Jacklin Rd, in the heart of a rapidly developing community. For those traveling by car, the most convenient route is via Jacklin Road (the section between Goldstream and Sooke Road). There is ample free parking available on-site.

If you are using public transport, buses run regularly from Victoria to Langford, with stops located in the immediate vicinity of the mall. For residents of nearby neighborhoods, there are convenient pedestrian and bicycle paths.

The journey from Victoria International Airport (YYJ) by taxi or rental car takes approximately 30 minutes. This makes Westshore Town Centre an accessible shopping destination whether you've just arrived in the region or are heading for a flight.

History & Facts

The complex first opened its doors to visitors on May 4, 1984, and was known at the time as the CanWest Shopping Centre. The project was the brainchild of Ridley Brothers Development — a family enterprise of five brothers whose name is deeply woven into the history of the local land development.

The Ridley family has deep roots in the region: their great-grandfather, George Clement Ridley, arrived in Canada in 1905 and went into cattle ranching. Later, his sons founded a firewood supply company, and by the 1960s, the third generation had transitioned into property development, deciding to build a modern mall instead of the originally planned residential project.

In 2004, the shopping centre changed hands, being acquired by investors from Vancouver. Following this deal, between 2005 and 2006, the property received its current name — Westshore Town Centre. The rebranding marked a large-scale modernization and the transformation of the centre into a contemporary space catering to the needs of Greater Victoria's "Westshore" communities.

Time Needed

To fully explore the variety of stores and enjoy a quick bite at the food court, visitors usually need between 2 to 4 hours. This is the optimal amount of time to stroll through the main galleries and make your purchases without rushing.

If you plan to combine shopping with a movie at Cineplex or a full dinner at one of the restaurants, it is worth setting aside at least half a day. For those who know exactly what they need, an express visit can take about an hour.

Working Hours

The centre's opening hours are designed to be convenient for busy families and those who prefer to shop after the workday. The "late-night Thursdays and Fridays" are particularly convenient, when the complex remains open until late evening.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Thursday and Friday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM; Sunday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Please note that the operating hours of individual restaurants and the Cineplex cinema may differ from the mall's general schedule.
