Alternatively, travellers often choose to fly into neighbouring cities with larger airports. For instance, Rennes (RNS) is located approximately 64 kilometres away and offers a wide selection of flights. Flying via Saint Helier (JER), located at a distance of about 61 kilometres, is also an option, which may be convenient when planning complex itineraries.

Since there is no railway station directly in the city of Dinard, travelling by train usually involves transferring to a bus or taxi for the final leg of the journey. The main railway hub for trips to this part of Brittany is Rennes, where high-speed trains regularly arrive from Paris and other major cities in France.

The distance from the Rennes station to the coast is about 64 kilometres, which can be easily covered by connecting transport. Saint Helier is also in the region, at a distance of about 61 kilometres; however, the route via Rennes is traditionally considered the most convenient and predictable for tourists travelling across the mainland.

Bus services offer an affordable and scenic way to reach the resort of Dinard from neighbouring cities. The most popular and fastest option is considered to be the route from the city of Rennes: the bus covers the distance of 81 km in approximately 2 hours, allowing you to enjoy views of the Breton countryside.

For travellers departing from more distant points, there is a route from the city of Saint Helier. However, it is worth noting that this journey will take significantly more time — about 17 hours to cover 172 km, making it less preferable for those who value speed of travel.

Travelling by car allows for flexible route planning and the opportunity to enjoy the landscapes of France at your own pace. The shortest and most convenient route runs from the city of Rennes: the distance of 72 km can be comfortably covered in less than an hour (about 55 minutes) on good roads.

If you plan to arrive from the direction of Saint Helier, be prepared for a longer journey. Although the distance is about 75 km, the trip will take approximately 3 hours due to the logistical specifics of this coastal region. Using a taxi or a rental car will ensure maximum comfort on the road.

1. Clothing and Weather. The weather in Brittany is changeable. Even in summer, it is recommended to bring a windbreaker and comfortable walking shoes, as evenings can be cool and the sea breeze quite fresh.
2. Transport. The city is compact and ideal for walking. For trips along the coast, it is convenient to use a rental bicycle or local buses connecting the resort with neighbouring Saint-Malo.
3. Finances. The official currency is the Euro (EUR). Bank cards are accepted almost everywhere, but keeping some cash for small purchases in souvenir shops or markets is useful.
4. Health. Pharmacies are easily recognised by the green neon cross. The standard of medical care is high, but for tourists from outside the EU, having travel insurance is highly recommended.

6. Etiquette. Upon entering a shop or café, it is customary to greet the staff ("Bonjour"). This is an important part of the local culture of politeness.
