The most favourable time is considered to be August, when the number of rainy days drops to a minimum (about 15), and the volume of precipitation does not exceed 2 mm. This is the ideal time to visit the French Polynesia region for a beach holiday.

When preparing for a trip to Tikehau, prioritise comfort and lightness. Since the climate here is tropical and warm year-round with an average temperature of about +26...+27°C, the foundation of your wardrobe should be items made from natural breathable fabrics — cotton and linen. The sun in French Polynesia is very active, so cream with a high protection factor (SPF 50+) is a necessity; it is advisable to choose reef-safe products. Also, considering the humid climate, do not forget insect repellents, as insects can be active in the evening. If you plan to swim a lot, having your own mask and snorkel will make your holiday more comfortable, although equipment is often available at hotels.
