The majestic Marschiertor is not just a historical monument, but one of the two surviving main gates of the second city wall. Located in the southern part of the city of Aachen, this massive gate tower is a striking example of the medieval defensive architecture for which Germany is famous.

The structure is a complex design consisting of two four-story round towers connected by a powerful central building. The total height of the tower, including its spire, reaches an impressive 49 meters. Due to its scale, Marschiertor is considered one of the largest city gates in Western Europe to have preserved its original appearance.
Today, the building remains an active part of city life: it serves as the headquarters of the Aachen Carnival Society. Inside the tower, you will find an armory hall, archives, and even a wine cellar, giving these ancient stones a special atmosphere that unites the imperial past with the city's modern traditions.
