If you have a passion for the power of railways and the aesthetics of vintage machines, then the Wittenberge Historical Depot will be a true discovery. Located in the cozy town of Wittenberge, this railway museum is the largest in the northwestern part of Brandenburg, Germany.

The museum complex, which officially opened in the fall of 2012, is located on the site of a former locomotive depot. Today, it is managed by dedicated non-profit organizations that have turned the old workshops into a living monument of the industrial era. Here, under one roof, is a unique collection of machinery capable of impressing not only railway experts but also families with children.
The core of the museum is the magnificent roundhouse, built in 1924. For a long time, it remained an important transport hub at the intersection of the Berlin-Hamburg and Magdeburg-Schwerin lines. Today, this place serves as a home for legendary locomotives, carefully restored and maintained in excellent condition by a team of volunteers.
