The nearest major airport is in the city of Kozani (KZI), located approximately 50 kilometres away; arrivals via Ohrid (OHD) or Ioannina (IOA) can also be considered. Travelling by car is one of the most scenic ways to reach your destination. The fastest route runs from the city of Kozani: the distance of 72 km can be covered in approximately 1 hour via a modern highway.

If you are driving from the Ionian Sea side via Ioannina, the journey will take about 2 hours (163 km) and offer impressive views. For those travelling through the Balkans, a route from Ohrid covering 165 km is available, which will require about 3 hours, taking border crossing procedures into account.
