Parmarth Niketan Ashram is a true spiritual oasis located in Rishikesh, near the holy city of Haridwar. As the largest ashram in the region, it stretches along the picturesque banks of the sacred Ganges River. It is one of India's most significant spiritual institutions, attracting thousands of pilgrims and seekers from all over the world every year who come to find harmony and inner peace.
The main goal of the ashram, whose name translates to "Abode of Ultimate Well-being," is to create the perfect conditions for spiritual growth, meditation, and yoga practice. Visitors are offered daily practices, including morning prayers, Hatha and Vinyasa yoga classes, lectures (satsangs), and meditations. The atmosphere here is filled with tranquility and promotes a profound renewal of body, mind, and soul.

The ashram grounds are quite extensive and well-kept. They include lush gardens, cozy residential buildings, spacious practice halls, and, of course, the famous monumental statue of Shiva meditating on the banks of the Ganges. There are about 1,000 rooms for guest accommodation, which harmoniously combine the simplicity of ashram life with necessary modern amenities, such as private bathrooms. The evening Ganga Aarti ceremony—a colorful and mesmerizing fire offering to the river that leaves an unforgettable impression—is particularly popular.
