Most visitors need between 1.5 to 2.5 hours for a standard hike to the hilltop and back. This is enough time to enjoy the walk at a leisurely pace, take some photos, and rest for a bit at the highest point of the route.

Keep in mind that trails become slippery after rain, which can slow you down. Spending more than 4 hours in the reserve is not recommended, as access to many remote trails is restricted by conservation rules.

While the reserve is technically accessible as a natural area, the best time to visit is from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM. During these hours, the forest still retains its morning coolness, and on weekends, there are many people on the trails, making the hike safer for beginners.
