In León, two main seasons are clearly defined. The dry season, which usually lasts from November to April, is distinguished by an abundance of sunny days and minimal rainfall – often there is none at all. During this period, daytime temperatures are mild and pleasant, ideal for strolling and exploring the city, although nights, especially from December to February, can be quite cool (minimum temperatures drop to 8°C). By October, the amount of precipitation noticeably decreases, and the weather again becomes predominantly dry.

The summer period in León, especially from May to June, is characterized by hot weather, with maximum temperatures often exceeding 28-30°C. In the dry season, which lasts approximately from November to April, precipitation is unlikely. During the day it will be warm, so t-shirts, light trousers, or skirts will be appropriate. However, evenings and early mornings can be cool, especially in the winter months (December-February), so do not forget to take a sweater, fleece, or light jacket with you. During this period, an umbrella will likely be more useful for protection from the sun than from rain.

From May to October, the rainy season arrives in León, the peak of which falls in July-September, when the number of rainy days significantly increases. At this time, be sure to put a light waterproof jacket or a compact umbrella in your suitcase. Clothing made from quick-drying materials will also be very handy. Despite the rains, the air temperature remains comfortable, but increased humidity may be felt. It is also worth packing insect repellent, especially for evening walks.
