Wonderland Park "Galileo"

About

Imagine a place where the laws of physics seem to stop working and your senses begin to deceive you. Galileo Wonder Park is a unique interactive museum in the city of Chelyabinsk that transforms complex science into a thrilling adventure for the whole family. Located in the heart of Russia, this park offers visitors the chance not just to look at exhibits, but to become part of incredible experiments.

The park's space is divided into several thematic zones. On the first floor, guests will find interactive installations: here, you can and should touch, twist, and press everything. It is a real laboratory where physical and chemical phenomena are visualized. The second floor is dedicated to changing perception—it features the famous mirror maze and rooms where the floor drops out from under your feet, creating the illusion of gravity defying logic.

Renovated in 2022, Galileo has become even larger and more high-tech. It is suitable for any age: from toddlers enthusiastically pressing glowing buttons to adults rediscovering the wonders of the world around them. This place is deservedly popular, offering guests both entertainment and intellectual growth.

What to Do

At Galileo Wonder Park, the motto is simple: "interact with everything." On the first floor, you can feel like a real experimenter: try to shout louder than the noise of a taking-off plane, test your strength by bending metal bars, or watch objects roll up an inclined plane against all logic. For the smallest explorers, there are special zones with light panels and tactile games.

The second part of the adventure is a test of your vestibular system and spatial thinking. Get ready for a walk through the mirror maze, where thousands of reflections turn the search for the exit into a real quest. Be sure to check out the tilted room, where the brain refuses to believe the eyes, and test the "surprise buttons" prepared for the bravest guests.

In addition to the main exhibition, there are regular engaging masterclasses (costing about 450 ₽), where children can conduct their first chemical experiments. Entry ticket prices are 550 ₽ for children and 600 ₽ for adults, while toddlers under 3 can enter for free. It is also an excellent place for organizing a bright birthday party with games and tea.

Getting There

This interactive museum is located in the very heart of the city on the famous pedestrian street Kirovka. The exact address is 167 Kirova St. Thanks to its central location, getting here from any part of the city is easy.

For those who prefer public transport, buses, trams, and minibuses (marshrutkas) going to the "ul. Kirova" or "TSNTI" stops are suitable. The trip from the railway station will take about 15–20 minutes. If you are coming from the airport, it is most convenient to use a taxi (the journey will take about 30–40 minutes) or a bus with a transfer in the center.

If you are exploring the city center on foot, the walk from the main squares and parks will take no more than 10–15 minutes. It is worth noting that parking in the central part of Chelyabinsk can be difficult, so using a taxi or public transport is often a more comfortable option.

History & Facts

The history of this unusual project began in Yekaterinburg, where it was conceived as a local educational attraction. However, the format's success led to expansion, and in 2010, the project opened its doors in Chelyabinsk, becoming one of the first and most popular branches of the network.

The park's development path was filled with challenges and a constant search for new ideas. For example, the experience of restoring parks in other cities after technical difficulties taught the team to pay maximum attention to safety and material quality. In 2022, the Chelyabinsk branch underwent a large-scale update: the park moved to Kirova Street, nearly doubling its area.

Today, Galileo Wonder Park is the result of the labor of scientists, engineers, and even illusionists. The founders initially bet on making the exhibits interesting not just for children, but for adults as well. It is this versatility that allowed the project to grow from a small experiment into a large-scale network represented in many major Russian cities.

Time Needed

To explore all the interactive installations and pass through the tangled mazes without rushing, set aside about 2–3 hours for your visit. This time is usually enough to try out the exhibits on both floors and take spectacular photos in the optical illusion rooms.

For families planning to participate in additional activities, such as science workshops or birthday celebrations, the stay in the park may stretch to 3-4 hours. Keep in mind that the mirror maze and gravity-defying rooms often make you want to return to them several times.

Working Hours

Galileo Wonder Park welcomes guests daily from 10:00 to 20:00 with no lunch breaks or days off. The ticket offices close one hour before the park's closing time so that visitors have time to enjoy the exhibition.

Since the schedule may change on public holidays, we recommend checking the official website or calling the contact number before your visit to confirm current information.
