Lake Bolshoy Vudyavr is a true natural treasure located near the city of Kirovsk, in the heart of the Kola Peninsula in Russia. As the largest lake in the Khibiny Tundra and the entire Khibiny mountain range, it lies in a picturesque basin between the mountains at an altitude of over 300 meters above sea level. The name "Vudyavr" itself translates from the Sami language as "lake at the foot of the mountain," which perfectly reflects its location.

The surface area of Bolshoy Vudyavr is nearly four square kilometers, and its waters hide considerable depths: the average is 19 meters, while the maximum reaches nearly 40 meters. The lake is surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Khibiny, including one of the highest—Mount Vudyavrchorr, which stands over 1,000 meters tall. These rugged yet incredibly beautiful landscapes create a unique atmosphere of peace and connection with nature.
Bolshoy Vudyavr plays an important role in the region's hydro-system. The Belaya River flows out of its southern part toward Lake Imandra, while the Vudyavyok, Saamka, and Yuksporyok rivers flow into it from the north. For tourists, this place is attractive for its pristine beauty, the chance to enjoy silence, fishing, and breathtaking views of the mountain landscapes. It is an ideal spot for those who want to feel the power and tranquility of Northern nature.
