Imagine a green oasis of wildlife in the very heart of an industrial city — this is how the Lipetsk Zoo welcomes its guests. Located in the picturesque Nizhny Park of the city of Lipetsk, it is one of the oldest and most significant zoological sites in the Central Black Earth Region. Founded in 1973, this zoo has grown from a small nature corner into a huge complex covering about 7 hectares.

Today, in this part of Russia, more than 300 species of animals reside here, many of which are listed in the Red Data Book. Guests can see not only common forest inhabitants like wolves and deer but also exotic fauna: majestic European bison, graceful Far Eastern leopards, amusing kangaroos, and pink flamingos. The zoo takes pride in its success in breeding rare species, including Himalayan bears.
In addition to open-air enclosures, the "Exotics" pavilion, an aquarium, and a terrarium operate on the territory, where you can get to know the world of reptiles and fish. A cozy atmosphere, well-maintained alleys, and modern themed zones, such as the "Peacock Yard," make this place ideal for family holidays and educational walks.
