The cave's name translates from Turkish as "dripping stone" (damla — drop, taş — stone), which aptly describes its main treasure — thousands of stalactites and stalagmites formed over centuries. Inside, it feels as if you have entered a magical underground palace decorated with whimsical stone patterns. The total volume of the cave is about 2,500 m³, and a comfortable temperature of around +22…+23 °C and high humidity are constantly maintained inside.
Scientists believe this natural gallery is over 15,000 years old. Despite its relatively small size, it makes a lasting impression. Damlataş Cave is famous not only for its beauty but also for its special microclimate, which is considered beneficial for people with respiratory conditions.
