The museum was founded with the noble goal of preserving and displaying to the public specimens collected during the numerous field works of the Mineral Research and Exploration General Directorate (MTA). Thanks to this, we can now see an exceptionally rich collection reflecting the natural diversity and geological history of the region.
The museum's exhibition is striking in its variety. It features impressive models of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals that come to life before the eyes of visitors. Additionally, you can see ancient tools and materials used by our distant ancestors. A special place in the collection is held by numerous fossils, rare rocks, and minerals gathered not only from various parts of Turkey but from all over the world, telling amazing stories of the Earth's past.
