Boardwalk Hall is not just an arena, but a true symbol of the golden age of Atlantic City in the USA. This impressive multi-purpose concert and sports complex, formerly known as Convention Hall, is one of the last remaining grand structures of that era. In 1997, it was renamed in honor of former mayor Jim Whelan, but its historical significance and architectural grandeur continue to attract visitors and serve as a venue for landmark events.

The heart of Boardwalk Hall is its main auditorium, which can seat up to 10,500 spectators. Just imagine the scale: its dimensions are an impressive 139 by 94 meters (456 by 310 feet)! This vast space allows for a wide variety of events—from concerts by world stars and sporting competitions to large-scale exhibitions and conferences—making it one of the key centers of the city's cultural and social life.
Of particular note is the main hall's vaulted ceiling, soaring to a height of 42 meters (137 feet). It covers an area of over 18,200 square meters (196,000 square feet) and consists of painted aluminum tiles, with a design inspired by Roman bath tiles. This unique architectural detail gives the hall's interior a distinct character and makes it one of the most recognizable and impressive indoor spaces in the country.
