The indoor karting track is a professionally designed course featuring innovative Protex safety barriers and striking LED lighting. The center's pride and joy is its fleet of fully electric karts imported from Italy. They are not only eco-friendly and odorless, but they can also reach speeds of up to 72 km/h, making them some of the fastest in the industry.

Beyond the exhilarating races, a full-scale entertainment hub awaits visitors. It features an arcade area with the latest video simulators, billiard tables, and the cozy Paddock Lounge cafe. Thanks to its stylish interior and proximity to famous movie studios, the center is often used for filming and hosting large-scale corporate events.

What to Do

The main activity at the center is, of course, racing. Visitors can enjoy two types of electric karts: Junior Karts for children and powerful Adult Karts for grown-ups. The track was professionally designed to provide racers with maximum opportunities for overtaking and maneuvers, making every competition truly exciting.

After crossing the finish line, you can switch to other forms of entertainment. Guests have access to a large arcade area and classic billiards. For those who get hungry, the Paddock Lounge themed cafe offers a wide selection of food and drinks. The center's interior is decorated with motorsport memorabilia, creating the atmosphere of an elite racing club.

If you are planning a visit with a large group, look into the special packages for parties and team-building events. The center features private F1 Room and MotoGP Room spaces where you can organize catering and enjoy a private setting. For the most dedicated speed fans, professional racing leagues are held here regularly.

Getting There

The most convenient way to reach the karting track at 960 Chestnut St is by car. The facility is located in close proximity to major highways I-5 and SR-134, making it accessible from any part of the city. Free parking is provided on-site for visitors.

If you plan to use public transportation, you can take Metro buses that stop nearby on Hollywood Way. Metrolink train stations are also within walking distance. A taxi or rideshare trip from the city center takes about 10–15 minutes.

The drive from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) takes approximately 30–40 minutes, depending on traffic. Since the center is located near famous film and television studios, it is easy to find by following signs toward the area's media districts.

History & Facts

The history of the K1 Speed network began in 2003 in California, thanks to the initiative of David and Susan Danglard. Transitioning into the professional entertainment world from the fashion industry, the founders decided to start a revolution in go-karting. The first track opened in Carlsbad, and since then, the company has grown into the world's largest operator of indoor karting centers.

The Burbank location opened its doors on April 13, 2021. It was a long-awaited project, becoming the company's second center in Los Angeles County. Since its opening, the venue has become famous for using high-performance European electric karts, which replaced traditional noisy gas models, making racing more eco-friendly and safer.

Due to its location right next to Hollywood, the center quickly became a popular spot for filming music videos and television shows. The professional track design using advanced Protex barriers set new quality standards for the entire entertainment karting industry.

Time Needed

To fully enjoy the speed and other entertainment at the center, it is recommended to set aside 2 to 4 hours. A standard racing session lasts about 10–12 minutes; however, considering registration, safety briefings, and wait times for your heat, time goes by very quickly.

Many visitors prefer to purchase multi-race packages to have time to learn the track's nuances and improve their lap times. If you also plan to visit the arcade area, play billiards, or have a meal at the Paddock Lounge, it is better to plan for a half-day visit. For corporate events or private parties, the program typically lasts at least three hours.

Working Hours

The karting track is open daily, making it easy to include racing in your travel itinerary. From Monday to Thursday, the center is open from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM. On Friday, the hours are extended until midnight, which is perfect for night-time thrill seekers.

On weekends, the schedule is as follows: on Saturday, races start at 10:00 AM and continue until midnight, and on Sunday, the venue is open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Keep in mind that evenings and weekends are the most popular times, so it is best to book your races in advance.
