History & Facts

The story of 2 Towns Ciderhouse began in 2010, thanks to the initiative of two childhood friends—Lee Larsen and Aaron Sarnoff-Wood. Inspired by European cider-making traditions, they decided to revive the craft in their homeland, utilizing the abundance of the Pacific Northwest orchards. The company name itself refers to two towns: Corvallis and Eugene, where the founders went to school.

The first steps in the business were quite humble. The earliest batches of cider were created in a regular basement, and the product's official "debut" took place at one of the founders' weddings in 2009. After receiving rave reviews from guests, the friends rented a former taxi garage and installed their first wine tanks there.

Since then, the company has come a long way from a local operation to becoming the largest craft cider producer in Oregon. Today, 2 Towns Ciderhouse operates three production facilities and distributes its products to 15 states, while remaining true to its roots and the principle of using only natural ingredients.
