Here, you can see majestic sharks in a massive 110,000-gallon tank, watch graceful rays, and meet fascinating reptiles. A highlight is the rainforest zone, which serves as a natural habitat for sloths, otters, toucans, and lemurs. It’s a place where education seamlessly blends with entertainment, making it a must-visit for family vacations in the USA.

Opened in 2024, the complex transformed a former department store into an interactive oasis. Thanks to panoramic windows and touch tanks, visitors can literally reach out to nature while learning many interesting facts about the conservation of rare species and their habitats.

What to Do

A truly immersive experience awaits you here. One of the most popular activities is the touch tanks, where you can not only see but also gently touch rays and invertebrates, and even feed them from a special cup. Thrill-seekers can observe sharks through the panoramic windows of a state-of-the-art tank, creating a total immersion into the deep.

High-tech entertainment is also part of the fun: in the "Draw Alive" area, you can sketch a sea creature that instantly "comes to life" in a virtual aquarium on a large LED screen. Also, be sure to check out the interactive sand table, where projections allow you to reshape the landscape, creating rivers and volcanoes in a world of dinosaurs.

In the rainforest section, don't miss the otter and sloth feedings. This area is home to lemurs, tamarins, and colorful lorikeets, with the sounds of nature completing the jungle atmosphere. For those seeking even more excitement, a VR experience is available, offering a virtual dive with humpback whales or a flight alongside giant manta rays.

Getting There

The attraction is located at 1008 W International Speedway Blvd, right on the northwest corner of the International Speedway Blvd and Nova Road intersection. Its location is extremely convenient: it's just a 5-minute drive from the famous Daytona International Speedway.

For those who prefer public transportation, city buses run regularly along International Speedway Blvd. If you are staying in the central part of Daytona Beach, a taxi ride will take just a few minutes. You can also reach the aquarium on foot or by bicycle if you enjoy active city strolls.

For travelers with their own or rented cars, parking is available right near the entrance, making the visit as comfortable as possible for families with children.

History & Facts

The story of this place began quite recently, yet it has already become a key destination on Florida's tourism map. Daytona Aquarium & Rainforest Adventure opened its doors in February 2024, becoming the first full-scale aquarium in the Daytona Beach area. The project was launched in phases: visitors could initially see marine life and reptiles, while the expansive rainforest section was completed in June 2025.

It is interesting to note that this modern complex, covering over 5,000 square meters, is housed in a building formerly occupied by a department store. The owners did an incredible job transforming retail space into high-tech ecosystems while maintaining a convenient urban location.

The main mission of the creators was to offer more than just entertainment — it's an interactive educational platform. The project focuses on species conservation and education, allowing guests to learn about wildlife from various corners of the globe right in the heart of the USA.

Time Needed

To leisurely explore all 60 exhibits, feed the rays, and watch the playful otters, most guests need 1 to 2 hours. This is enough time to enjoy the interactive zones and read the information panels about animal life.

If you plan to attend the "Animals Up-Close" educational presentations or want to dive into virtual reality, it's worth setting aside a bit more time. For families with children, who will likely want to spend longer at the interactive tables and touch tanks, we recommend dedicating half a day to your visit.

Working Hours

Daytona Aquarium & Rainforest Adventure welcomes guests daily, providing convenient access to the exhibits throughout the week:

  • Monday — Sunday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Please note that last entry to the building is at 5:15 PM, so we recommend arriving early enough to see all the zones before closing.
