The hilltop has a characteristic oval shape and rises 19 meters above the saddle connecting it to Big Round Top. On one side, the hill has a steep slope facing Plum Run, and its height above the stream reaches 46 meters. The absolute elevation of Little Round Top is 198 meters above sea level.
