What to Do

A visit to this establishment is, above all, a gastronomic pleasure. Start your experience with the signature coffee menu: they serve everything from classic espresso to original dragon fruit iced tea. Special attention should be paid to the drinks prepared using the slow-pour method and the house-made syrups, which are handcrafted from natural ingredients.

For coffee connoisseurs, there is an opportunity to purchase Crappie Coffee Roasting beans. This is organic coffee from various corners of the world, roasted right on-site. The baristas will be happy to help you choose the right variety and, if needed, grind the beans specifically for your home brewing method.

In the evening, the atmosphere shifts as the full-service bar takes over. You can sample local ciders and wines or order one of the classic cocktails. If you're in a hurry, take advantage of the convenient walk-up window, which allows you to place an order without entering the building.

Getting There

The establishment is located in the heart of the historic city center at 401 N 3rd St. Thanks to its central location in a lively district with many shops, finding this place is quite easy.

For those who prefer to travel by car, parking is provided directly at the venue, and you can also park along Third Street. If you are in the downtown area, a walk is a great way to experience the local architecture on your way to the coffee shop.

If you require a taxi, you can easily call a car via popular mobile apps from anywhere in the city. Public transport in this area is also well-developed, making The Crib accessible to all types of travelers.

History & Facts

The history of this place is inextricably linked to the magnificent Victorian house, built back in the 1890s. Before opening its doors to the first visitors in November 2018, the building underwent a meticulous restoration process. The owners managed to preserve the authentic spirit of the era: inside, you will find original wood floors, massive pocket doors, and elegant marble fireplaces.

Interestingly, the business itself began as a hobby. The founders, Dave and Nicole, started roasting coffee beans for fun in 2015. Their passion for a quality product quickly grew into something more: first, they sold coffee at local markets, and then they decided to establish a full-fledged family enterprise.

Today, The Crib is considered not just a dining spot, but an essential element of the historic Third Street streetscape. Here, modern technical amenities, such as a professional sound system and climate control, harmoniously coexist with architectural heritage from the late 19th century.

Time Needed

To fully soak in the atmosphere of the venue, 1 to 2 hours is usually sufficient. This is plenty of time to leisurely enjoy your drink, admire the interior details of the historic mansion, or have a pleasant conversation.

If you plan to stop by for freshly roasted beans or grab a coffee to go via the special express window, your visit might take only 15–20 minutes. However, we recommend staying longer to appreciate the cozy terrace or sit by the fireplace.

Working Hours

The doors are hospitably open to visitors daily from 07:00 to 20:00. This schedule is consistent throughout the week, including Saturday and Sunday, making The Crib an excellent option for both an early breakfast and an evening cocktail.

Despite the stable schedule, we recommend checking the official website or the venue's social media before your visit to ensure there are no changes for holidays or private events.
