The story of Trevor's Liquor began with an ambitious idea by Trevor Phillips, who already had successful experience managing Park Plaza Liquors & Deli in Prescott. The concept of creating a new type of boutique liquor store in Scottsdale had been brewing for several years. Despite the challenges of 2020, the project was realized, and the doors of the flagship space on McDowell Road opened in mid-December of that year.

Interestingly, the store occupies a building that formerly housed a motorsports center. In partnership with restaurant industry veteran Jeff McDonald, Trevor managed to transform the industrial space into a stylish and cozy meeting spot. The "store-and-bar" concept became an instant hit with locals and tourists alike, offering something more than just rows of bottles on shelves.

The success of the first location sparked a rapid expansion of the brand. In January 2023, a second branch opened in North Scottsdale, featuring golf simulators and a pizzeria, followed by a location in Arcadia. Despite the network's growth, the original Trevor's Liquor on McDowell remains the heart of the brand, maintaining its local business atmosphere and dedication to quality service.
