In the heart of Varginha lies a wonderful oasis — the Dr. Mário Frota Municipal Zoo and Botanical Park. This unique site, located in Brazil, harmoniously combines the functions of a zoological garden and a botanical sanctuary, covering an impressive area of nearly 5 hectares.

The park is home to approximately 350 animals representing over 50 different species. Here, you can encounter graceful birds, exotic mammals, and reptiles living in modern enclosures that meet strict environmental standards. The rich botanical collection adds a special charm, turning a stroll along the park's paths into a true journey through a tropical forest.
Beyond its natural diversity, the park holds the status of a cultural heritage site. One of its highlights is the vintage Maria Fumaça steam locomotive, permanently installed on the grounds. Each month, thousands of tourists and locals visit this spot, drawn by the peaceful atmosphere and the chance to get closer to Brazil's wildlife.
