In the quiet and respectable district of Vedado, for which Havana is famous, lies an unusual and very soulful place—John Lennon Park. This small square in Cuba has become a true pilgrimage site for music lovers and tourists from all over the world, thanks to its unique atmosphere and its main attraction—a bronze statue of the legendary member of The Beatles.

The centerpiece of the park is a realistic figure of Lennon, sitting down to rest on one of the ordinary park benches. At his feet, the immortal line from the song Imagine is inscribed: "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one." The sculpture was created by master José Villa Soberón and is remarkably lifelike, inviting passersby to sit down beside him and share a moment of silence.
One of the most remarkable features of the monument is the famous round glasses. Due to repeated theft attempts, this accessory is now under the watch of a dedicated park employee. As soon as a tourist approaches the monument with a camera, the guardian of the glasses solemnly places them on the bridge of bronze John’s nose, allowing for an authentic photograph.
Surrounded by the classic grid of Havana streets, the park is a perfect example of a harmonious urban space. Directly opposite it is the themed nightclub Submarino Amarillo ("Yellow Submarine"), which complements the musical concept of the block and attracts fans of classic rock.
