Sainte-Croix Museum (Musée Sainte-Croix) is the largest cultural space in the city of Poitiers and one of the most significant art centers that France is proud of. The museum harmoniously combines rich archaeological collections, unique sculptural compositions, and a gallery of classical painting under its roof.

The museum building deserves special attention: built in 1974 based on the project of architect Jean Monge, it is an outstanding example of modern architecture. In 1976, it received the European Architecture Prize for its original forms and functionality. The museum owes its name to the historical abbey on whose grounds it was built, maintaining an unbreakable link across time.
Today, visitors can see everything from the rarest finds of the Gallo-Roman period and medieval artifacts to masterpieces by European masters of the Renaissance and modern times. It is a place where history comes alive in stone, metal, and paint, offering tourists an exciting journey through the centuries.
